“I Strained My Back Before I Have To Travel”

Bending very far kinda hurts, so I like how I can snap together my pillow up near the top where I pull the suitcase through the airport.

I usually use the pillow for my neck. I twist it to a U-shape and put it around my head and neck. This time I used it behind my back. I put the roll behind my low back, which fells good. My wife bends the pillow once to use behind her back.

It’s nice to be able to bend or fold the pillow to fit your body. I’ve noticed they sell the U-shape pillows everywhere now. This pillow seems like the next best thing because you cans twist it into a U-shape but also much more.

Correct Your Neck!

You need to correct that neck curve... What is the fastest way to do that? Use true neck traction, use a neck pillow, and do neck exercises. If you have a Chiropractor adjusting you too, even better. That is why I like this video; there's even before and after pictures. I like how he even uses a wall for resistance. You can use your hand or even a towel too... Here is where you can find the "true neck traction" with the posture pump... And, of course, my favorite pillow...

Tips On Having A Healthy, Pain-Free Day

Most of us lead a pretty full and busy life. Staying healthy and pain free will help us to keep going and to enjoy those sometimes hectic days. Here are some tips to maintain our health and stay pain free:
  1. Let's start with getting up in the morning. A few minutes of simple stretches is helps loosen us up.

  2. A few minutes of walking on the treadmill is great too. Get moving and getting the blood flowing is a big help for many reasons.

  3. A Healthy Breakfast. I just recently read online how they are showing that one of the worst things to do is skip this meal.

  4. Maintain good posture at work. Make sure you work station is ergonomically friendly.

  5. Drink water throughout the day

  6. Take Breaks. For most, we sit at a computer all day; get up and move around a bit. Kick off the heels, eat some fruit.

  7. Make sure your vehicle is posture friendly too. We end up spending alot of time in our cars, so make sure that isn't a source of pain.

  8. Sleep with a good pillow

Can my Neck Pillow Help with my Chiropractic Manipulations?

Choosing the right neck pillow is important- it can help with cervical alignment
Yes, in fact, a term often used synonymously with “neck pillow” is “chiropractic pillow.” The reason is because a neck pillow helps one hold and restore cervical alignment. This is much like a chiropractic adjustment. The reason the cervical traction neck pillow is recommended by a lot of chiropractors is because it helps align the neck and maintain the neck curvature.

Often when someone is adjusted, especially if they recently had an injury or strain, things may shift back out of place. Therefore, using a neck pillow at night following your adjustment will help to maintain your alignment. In fact, you chiropractor may recommend one of our neck pillows … or should I say “chiropractic pillows.”

What Kind Of Pillow Should I Sleep With?

cervical traction neck pillow
A very common question in the office that patients often ask is: "What is the best neck pillow to use for sleeping?"

My answer most often is our cervical traction pillow. When we first started in practice we tried alot of pillows and supports. The traction pillow, by far, has given us the best and most consistant results. Nine out of ten customer and/or patient's of our absolutely love it.

Not only does it help one hold their neck adjustments better, it also helps align the spine as well. So most often if you are looking for a comfortable pillow that will give you a good nights sleep, improve neck posture, and help keep neck pain away, try the traction pillow.

If you have specific questions or concerns about your neck, give our office a call and we can help.
