We've All Heard How Texting Can Be Bad...

Mainly texting is bad for your neck and the rest of the spine. Here's what I recently posted on facebook: I knew texting can be bad for you neck and spine - but this is really bad... Look, we are all gonna text and type, etc. and we're not stopping anytime soon. Just take periodic breaks, and look up once in awhile. "The bottom line is not to be too crazy, but take care of your spine and it will take care of you".

Stretch Before and After...

So they say you stretch before to prevent injury and after to keep limber. This can work for you if you regularly work out, are a weekend warrior (you know who you are), or even if you don't do much physical exercise. Let's take the last case - you can still stretch in the morning and then after your day, in the evening. You'll notice that you can stretch further in the evening, after a normal day. The same goes for someone who regularly works out, or even that weekend warrior. Stretch out before that day on the course, or maybe on the ski slopes, or that intramural basketball game. This will help you loosen up and prevent an injury. And afterwards do some stretching to keep loose and improve that future flexibility. Helping you find natural remedies for your active lifestyle.

Can My Back Pain Be Coming From My Stomach

Yes, your back pain can be coming from your stomach. If anything in that core region is disrupted you may have lower back pain. Think of the core as the middle of the body; sort of like if you had a hula hoop around the waist - that's your core!

Everything works together, so if your stomach is really weak then your back may be picking up the slack. Or let's say one side oblique muscles are constantly short and taut...the opposite side may be constantly stretched. This can cause an imbalance and therefore pain! Posture plays a very important role in overall health.
