More on Vitamin D and Your Health...

Now is the time to get outside and get your vitamin D. Up here in the Northeast we don't get as much as we should. The key is to supplement in the winter months but now you can get out and catch some rays. Many of us are deficient in this very important vitamin.

    If you're fair skinned, experts going outside for 10 minutes in the midday sun—in shorts and a tank top with no sunscreen—will give you enough radiation to produce about 10,000 international units of the vitamin. In the winter, you will need to take a supplement.
