What happens when you sleep with too much pillow? When you are on your back, your head flexes forward. When you are on your side, your head laterally bends toward the ceiling. This is not good since you want a straight spine when looking at it from the front or back and a spine with smooth flowing curves looking at it from the side. Specifically a "C" curve in the neck.
