You may have heard that Tiger is back. He is going to be playing in a tournament at the Congressional Country Club, in Bethesda Maryland. I actually thought he was nurturing a wounded
knee. Apparently he had back
surgery. He's had four surgeries on his
left knee but this was a microdiscectomy (or microdecompression) in the low back.
What is a Microdiscectomy? That's where they shave off part of the disc that's causing
pressure to the nerve. This may be why
you heard he had a pinched nerve.
With the best doctors and rehab, Tiger will be back for
the next major PGA tournament. The scary thing is however the fact that you can have
the best doctor but that doesn't mean a future free and clear of back pain.
Talk to the doctors at CT Spine & Disc Center to
learn about a non-surgical approach to low back pain and/or disk pain.
