Is My Right Leg Shorter Than My Left?

This is a fairly common question in the office, or, of course, the opposite. Is my left shorter than my right. There are two different things we look at:
  1. Anatomical leg length difference
  2. Leg length difference based on the pelvis
Anatomical difference we can’t change with adjustments, however, it may throw off other parts of the spine which can be corrected. This usually occurs due to an accident or injury when growing, and for some reason one leg didn’t grow like the other.

Mostly what we’ll see is a difference based on the low back and/or pelvis. If the spine shifts or the pelvis tilts on one side vs. the other it will make those leg lengths look different.

And guess what- everything in the body is connected so if the pelvis is tilted you better before it will throw off the back and vice versa.

That being said, the best thing is to get your back checked by the chiropractor.
