We really need to do two things - 1) work on that 1st issue (probably the more major issue) 2) Try to fix and/or prevent any other issues from occurring.
For example: Joe has major back pain. Because of it he sits a lot (less pain). And because of this he’s not going to the bathroom...
That can lead to other issues too, so he walks a little back and forth in the house. He’s also created a good stretch routine each morning. This helps get things moving and it helps loosen him up. This comes in handy for many reasons!
